There are two indefinite articles into the English language which are
going to be used to refer exclusively to singular nouns without matter the
grammar tense or context in which they are applied, since we will have only to
take into account the beginning of the word in order to structure it correctly.
According to this fact we have to consider the following grammar rules as it
follows:
Grammar Rules
Rules 2: when we have
a noun which starts with “a” vowel, then we will have to use the article “an”
in order to avoid an incorrect sound at the time we pronounce the words
together.
Examples
- An umbrella
- An office
- An organization
Rule 2: When we have
a word starting with a consonant, then we will have to apply the article “a”
respectively due to the same reasons said previously.
Examples
- A car
- A city
- A tree
- A book
Rule 3: We will have
to be careful with some exceptions that we could find and that we could confuse.
Examples
- Hair
- Money
- Water
- Juice
- Skin
- Rice
