Prepositions


The prepositions in general terms are going to be used to join ideas or sentences into a specific context without mattering the grammar tense in which they are, it will be enough the fact to make common sense ,although we will have to be really careful with their meaning  since it will depend on their context where they are applied. The prepositions are the following.

  • Over (sobre de / algo que no toca la superficie)
  • With (con)
  • Without (sin)
  • To (a/para)
  • By (por / voz pasiva)
  • For (para por)
  • At (en / un destino como tal)
  • Opposite (opuesto a)
  • Between (Entre dos)
  • Among (entre varios)
  • Before (antes de)
  • After (después de)
  • Against (contra)
  • Since (desde / fechas)
  • Of (de / pertenencia o propiedad)
  • From (de / procedencia)
  • About (acerca de /sobre de)
  • Near (cerca de)
  • Behind (detrás de)
  • Next to (próximo a /a lado de)
  • Beside (junto de)
  • In front of (enfrente de)
  • On the corner of (en la esquina de)
  • Inside (dentro de)
  • Outside (fuera de)
  • Through (atravez de)
  • Along (a lo largo de)
  • Towards (hacia)
  • Till (hasta)
